Playful School - Mosaic Pre-school
Since March 2026, Play Connect has been working towards the vision of a Playful School while celebrating the International Day of Play.
By connecting Playful Adults—through the collaborative efforts of Mosaic Preschool and experienced Playwork practitioners from Hong Kong—a devoted team of teachers has been building an environment where children can freely explore, create, imagine, and connect. Together, we have achieved several important milestones:

PARS PPP2 training: Key Mosaic staff attained qualifications, developed a shared understanding of Playwork values, and committed resources to build a sustainable system.

Teacher training: All teachers received foundational training in Playwork principles, embedding these values across the entire team.

Play Day celebration: Teachers and playworkers collaborated to host a play event on 13 June 2026, marking the International Day of Play.
The International Day of Play was more than just an event—it became a platform to advocate for children’s right to play and to encourage parents and educators to appreciate the value of child-led experiences.
At the same time, it provided Mosaic Preschool with hands-on experience in practicing free play.
We are delighted that Mosaic Preschool has now decided to embed free play into their class schedule.
With Play Connect continuing to connect Playful Adults, we hope this practice will remain sustainable and benefit more children in the future
When in Singapore, maybe have less and less leisure time for play, and we want to give children the time and space to let them be children, to let them be themselves.
